Bible Verse: Luke
22: 31,32
And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath
desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail
not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy
brethren.
Someone is praying
for you
It was one of those days when nothing seemed to
make sense. Overwhelmed and stressed out, my emotions
were in a downward spiral. The sun wasn’t
shining and the overcast weather fit my mood perfectly.
However, at the end of this very discouraging day,
I received a message from a friend simply telling
me that they were praying for me. Suddenly, my soul
lifted and things did not seem so hopeless anymore.
Praying for one another and lifting each other up
before the Lord is one of the great privileges of
being a Christian.
Prayer changes things. There is nothing sweeter
than when someone speaks the Word on our behalf,
agrees with us in prayer, and adds the power of
their petition to ours. When we continually stand
in the gap for our friends and loved ones, doors
open, there is healing, strongholds are cast down,
and joy is restored.
Jesus daily intercedes on our behalf. As He did
for Peter, He brings us before God in prayer asking
that we be strengthened to handle the attacks of
the enemy. Let’s continue to do the same for
one another. When God’s people pray for each
other, wonderful things happen. Always remember
that someone is praying for you.
