For every man shall bear his own burden. Galatians 6:5
A story was once told about a man who complained to God about all the troubles he had to bear. In short, God heard his plea and took him to a meeting where the participants were able to anonymously place their burdens in the centre of the room. They were then allowed to choose another burden. When the man saw the problems and cares of the other burdens, he gladly chose his own.
I begin my thought with this short story just to say that I am thankful to God for all my trials and tribulations. When I am tempted to complain and compare myself with others, I remember this story. God does not give us more than we can bear. He said it in His Word. No matter how we claim that our burdens are unjust treatment, if we are truly walking with the Lord, we will realize that, though painful, they are necessary for our character development and growth.
So, I would just like to take the time to thank God for all my experiences, including the tears and the sorrows. I know that Joy is around the corner and victory is surely mine, as I surrender to Him and allow Him to lead me over the rough spots. I
thank Him for all that He has blessed me with, and ask forgiveness for ungratefulness and presumption. But most of all I thank Him for sending the Comforter to be with me and allowing me to lean on Him each day. I pray that you will permit God to do the same for you.
